Metaphors are incredibly powerful devices that shape the way we think and how we perceive the world surrounding us. Taking Lakoff's classic example: What if we imagine arguments as a dance instead of as a war? Here you can find some of my work (done with many help and advice of wonderful people) about automatic interpretation of metaphors.

Multilingual Semantic Relation Classification Dataset Design

I am also currently involved in the development of Multilingual Semantic Relation Classification datasets with the Distributed Information Sistems group at the University of Zaragoza, and NexusLinguarum.

Diachronic Linguistics

Previously I have also done some research on diachronic semantics. Although I do not have that much time for it anymore, understanding why and how languages change remains as one of my favourite topics.
